Dear Hiring Manager,

The process of writing cover letters is painful: you find a job listing and try to market yourself as the ideal candidate, conforming to fit with the keywords in the listing while simultaneously trying to standout amidst the other applicants. You highlight parts of yourself that they want, and ignore the parts that they don’t, picking and choosing what keywords define you as a person. 

In this project, this process is represented with tape: 

Four job listings and four accompanying cover letters were printed on paper covered in tape. The tape was then removed and rearranged within this book, in a fashion similar to how we take apart and rearrange ourselves to appear as the perfect candidate in cover letters.
